Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Rinse the soaked chickpeas and pressure cook them with enough water for 4-5 whistles or until they are soft.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and slit green chillies to the pan and sauté for a few more minutes.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chole masala, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the spices are well blended.
  5. Add the cooked chickpeas to the pan and mix well. Add some water if required and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
