Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Ingredients - Serves 6
- Chocolate chunks - 1/2 cup
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips - 1/2 cup
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Granulated sugar - 3/4 cup
- Whole milk - 1 cup
- Heavy cream - 2 cups
Let's Get Started
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Once the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency, add in the chocolate chips and chocolate chunks. Churn for an additional minute to evenly distribute the chocolate.
- Transfer the ice cream to a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
