  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

  5. Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee, making sure to coat both sides, and arrange them in a single layer in a serving dish.
  6. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  7. Sprinkle half of the chocolate chips over the mascarpone layer.
  8. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and chocolate chips.
  9. Dust the top with cocoa powder.
  10. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together.
