Chicken Soup
A comforting and nourishing chicken soup made with tender chicken, vegetables, and flavorful broth.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Egg noodles - 1 cup
- Chicken broth - 8 cups
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Thyme - 1 teaspoon
- Bay leaves - 2
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 large, diced
- Celery - 3 stalks, sliced
- Carrots - 3 medium, sliced
- Chicken - 1 whole, cut into pieces
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot, add the chicken, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, bay leaves, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Remove the chicken from the pot and shred the meat using two forks.
- Return the shredded chicken to the pot.
- Add the egg noodles and cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until the noodles are tender.
- Stir in the chopped parsley.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
