Texas Style Baked Beans
These hearty and flavorful baked beans are cooked with bacon, onions, and a touch of sweetness from brown sugar and molasses.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Mustard - 1 tablespoon
- Molasses - 2 tablespoons
- Brown sugar - 1/4 cup
- Canned baked beans - 2 cans (15 oz each)
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 large, chopped
- Bacon - 4 slices, chopped
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
- Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the baked beans, brown sugar, molasses, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir in the cooked bacon and onion mixture.
