Caramelized Pear Bread Pudding

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the pears and brown sugar and cook until the pears are caramelized.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Add the bread cubes to the egg mixture and stir until the bread is fully soaked.
  5. Spread half of the bread mixture in the prepared baking dish. Layer with half of the caramelized pears, then repeat with the remaining bread and pears.
  6. Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
