Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until soft.
  2. Add the flour and cook for a couple of minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  4. Add the chopped ham, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Cook for a few more minutes, then remove from heat and let cool.
  5. Once the mixture is cool, shape it into small cylinders.
  6. Dip each croquette into the beaten eggs, then roll in the breadcrumbs.
  7. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the croquettes until golden brown on all sides.
  8. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
