This is a traditional Norwegian recipe for homemade liver pate, a rich and flavorful spread that's perfect on fresh bread or crackers.

- Allspice - 1/2 teaspoon
- Nutmeg - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Flour - 2 tablespoons
- Milk - 1 cup
- Butter - 50 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 large, chopped
- Pork liver - 500 grams
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until soft and translucent.
- Add the pork liver to the pan and cook until browned on all sides.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and flour until smooth. Pour this mixture into the pan with the liver and stir well.
- Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and allspice.
- Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
- Pour the pate mixture into a loaf pan or individual ramekins.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the pate is firm and cooked through.
