Caramelized Onion & Tempeh Tart

Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until caramelized, about 20 minutes.
  3. Add the crumbled tempeh and garlic to the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. In a blender, combine the tofu, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth.
  5. Spread the onion and tempeh mixture in the bottom of the pie crust. Pour the tofu mixture over top.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the tart is set and the crust is golden. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
