Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and salt and cook until the onions are caramelized, about 15 minutes.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough into a large circle. Spread the caramelized onions over half of the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edge.
  4. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the onions.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-circle. Crimp the edges to seal.
  6. Brush the top of the calzone with the beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the calzone is golden brown.
