Let's Get Started

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add the freshly ground black pepper and toast for a minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat with the pepper-infused oil.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat and gradually add the grated Pecorino Romano cheese, tossing continuously to create a creamy sauce. If needed, add some of the reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency.
  7. Season with salt to taste and serve immediately.
  8. Garnish with additional grated Pecorino Romano cheese and freshly ground black pepper, if desired.
