Cabbage Thoran
Cabbage Thoran is a simple and healthy dish from Kerala, India. It's a stir-fried cabbage dish with coconut, mustard seeds, and curry leaves.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - To taste
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green chillies - 2, slit
- Curry leaves - A sprig
- Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Coconut - 1/2 cup, grated
- Cabbage - 1 medium, finely chopped
Let's Get Started
- Heat the coconut oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds.
- When the mustard seeds start to splutter, add the curry leaves and green chillies.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the pan and stir well.
- Add the turmeric powder and salt, mix well and cover the pan. Cook on a low flame for about 10 minutes.
- Add the grated coconut to the pan and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Serve the Cabbage Thoran hot with rice.
