Kerala Spicy Prawn Curry

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Clean and devein the prawns.
  2. Heat coconut oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once they start to splutter, add onions, garlic, ginger, green chillies and curry leaves. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  3. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder. Saute for a couple of minutes until the raw smell of the spices goes away.
  4. Add the prawns and salt. Mix well and cook for about 5 minutes.
  5. Add coconut milk and simmer for about 10 minutes until the prawns are cooked and the curry thickens.
  6. Serve hot with rice.
