Cabbage and Shrimp Stir Fry
This delicious stir fry combines tender shrimp with crunchy cabbage and flavorful seasonings.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Toasted sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, sliced
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Cabbage - 1 small head, thinly sliced
- Shrimp - 1 pound, peeled and deveined
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, red pepper flakes, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced cabbage and cook for 3-4 minutes, until slightly softened.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and pour the sauce over the shrimp and cabbage. Stir well to coat everything in the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly and everything is heated through.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
