Cabbage and Chicken Stir Fry
This delicious stir fry combines tender chicken and crunchy cabbage in a flavorful sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
- Carrots - 2, julienned
- Cabbage - 1/2 head, thinly sliced
- Chicken breast - 2, boneless and skinless, sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
- Heat cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken slices and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add cabbage, carrots, and bell pepper. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and pour the sauce over the ingredients.
- Stir fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
