Bungeoppang
Bungeoppang is a popular street food in South Korea. It's a fish-shaped bread filled with sweet red bean paste.
Ingredients - Serves 10
- Sweet red bean paste - 1 cup
- Sugar - 1/4 cup
- Milk - 1 cup
- Eggs - 2
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour - 2 cups
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Heat a bungeoppang pan over medium heat and lightly grease with oil.
- Pour a small amount of batter into one side of the fish mold, spreading it evenly.
- Spoon some red bean paste onto the center of the batter, then cover with more batter.
- Close the mold and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Repeat with the remaining batter and red bean paste.
- Serve warm.
