Dorayaki
Dorayaki is a popular Japanese snack and dessert, made of honey pancake sandwich with sweet red bean filling.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Sweet red bean paste - 1 cup
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour - 1 1/4 cups
- Milk - 3/4 cup
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Eggs - 2
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, and honey together until fluffy.
- Add the milk and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Add this to the egg mixture and whisk until smooth.
- Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Pour a small amount of batter onto the pan to make a small pancake. Flip it over when bubbles appear on the surface.
- Cook the other side until golden brown. Repeat this process to make more pancakes.
- Once the pancakes are cool, spread the red bean paste on one pancake and sandwich it with another pancake.
- Repeat with the remaining pancakes and red bean paste.
