Dorayaki
Dorayaki is a popular Japanese dessert, made of honey pancake sandwich with sweet red bean filling.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Sweet red bean paste - 1 cup
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour - 1 1/4 cups
- Milk - 1 cup
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 2/3 cup
- Eggs - 2
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, and honey together.
- Add the milk and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and pour 1/4 cup of the batter onto the pan.
- Cook until bubbles appear on the surface, then flip and cook the other side.
- Repeat with the remaining batter.
- Once the pancakes are cool, spread the red bean paste on one pancake and sandwich with another pancake.
- Repeat with the remaining pancakes and red bean paste.
