Boudin Balls

- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Hot sauce - 1 teaspoon
- Creole seasoning - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - For frying
- Bread crumbs - 1 cup
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Cooked rice - 1 cup
- Boudin sausage - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- Remove the casing from the boudin sausage and place it in a mixing bowl.
- Add the cooked rice, beaten egg, creole seasoning, hot sauce, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
- Mix everything together until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1-2 inches in diameter.
- Roll each ball in bread crumbs, making sure they are evenly coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F.
- Carefully drop the boudin balls into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
