  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the softened butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon, brown sugar, and chopped walnuts.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the greased cake pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  8. Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  9. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan.
  11. Serve warm or at room temperature.
