Bok Choy and Vegetable Dumplings
These delicious dumplings are filled with a flavorful mixture of bok choy, vegetables, and spices.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Wonton wrappers - 24
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Green onions - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Mushrooms - 1/2 cup, finely chopped
- Carrots - 1/2 cup, grated
- Bok choy - 2 cups, finely chopped
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the bok choy, carrots, mushrooms, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
- Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
- Dip your finger in water and moisten the edges of the wrapper.
- Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal.
- Bring the two bottom corners of the triangle together and press to seal, forming a dumpling shape.
- Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of oil.
- Place the dumplings in the skillet, flat side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown.
- Add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover with a lid. Steam the dumplings for 5-7 minutes, or until the wrappers are translucent and the filling is cooked through.
- Serve the dumplings hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
