Bobor Kreung
Bobor Kreung is a traditional Cambodian rice porridge made with mixed vegetables and spices.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Lime - 1, cut into wedges
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Black pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Chicken breast - 1, cooked and shredded
- Mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn) - 1 cup
- Water - 6 cups
- Rice - 1 cup
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the rice and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 30 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the mixture thickens.
- Add the mixed vegetables, shredded chicken, minced garlic, grated ginger, fish sauce, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions, cilantro, and lime wedges.
