Boardwalk Churros
A classic sweet treat that you can now make at home. These churros are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfect for dipping in chocolate sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cinnamon sugar - 1/2 cup
- Vegetable oil - For frying
- Eggs - 2
- All-purpose flour - 1 cup
- Unsalted butter - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- White sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 1 cup
Let's Get Started
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine water, sugar, salt, and butter. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
- Stir in flour until mixture forms a ball.
- Heat oil for frying in deep-fryer or deep skillet to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Pipe strips of dough into hot oil using a pastry bag. Fry until golden; drain on paper towels.
- Roll drained churros in cinnamon and sugar mixture.
