Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, cornstarch, lemon zest, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
  2. Pour the mixture into a square dish lined with plastic wrap. Let it cool, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until set.
  3. Cut the set milk mixture into squares. Dip each square in the beaten eggs, then coat in flour, and finally in breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the milk squares until golden brown on all sides.
  5. Drain the fried milk on paper towels, then dust with cinnamon sugar before serving.
