Bhuteko Bhat
Bhuteko Bhat is a traditional Nepali dish made with fried rice, vegetables, and spices.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - To taste
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Mixed vegetables - 2 cups, diced (carrots, peas, bell peppers, etc.)
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1, finely chopped
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cooked rice - 4 cups
Let's Get Started
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
- Add the mixed vegetables and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they are slightly tender.
- Add the turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the vegetables.
- Add the cooked rice to the pan and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the rice is heated through and well combined with the vegetables and spices.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped cilantro and lemon juice.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
