Beef Ribs with Bourbon BBQ Sauce
Tender, juicy beef ribs smothered in a homemade bourbon BBQ sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Apple cider vinegar - 1/4 cup
- Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
- Ketchup - 1 cup
- Bourbon - 1/2 cup
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Beef ribs - 2 racks
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 275°F.
- Season the ribs with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ribs and sear on all sides.
- In a saucepan, combine the bourbon, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
- Place the ribs in a roasting pan and pour the sauce over them.
- Cover the pan with foil and bake for 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the sauce is thick and sticky.
- Serve the ribs with extra sauce on the side.
