Beef on Weck

- Horseradish - To taste
- Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
- Beef broth - 2 cups
- Water - 2 cups

- Kummelweck rolls - 4
- Beef roast - 2 pounds
Let's Get Started
- Season the beef roast with salt and pepper and place it in a slow cooker.
- Add the water and beef broth to the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
- Remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
- Mix the cornstarch with a little water to make a slurry and stir it into the broth in the slow cooker to thicken it.
- Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and stir to coat it in the gravy.
- Slice the kummelweck rolls in half and pile the shredded beef on the bottom half of each roll.
- Top with horseradish to taste and the top half of the roll.
