Beacon Hill Bolognese

Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion, carrot, celery, and garlic and cook until the vegetables are soft, about 10 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef and pork and cook until browned, about 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the wine and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pot.
  6. Add the crushed tomatoes, bay leaves, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  7. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  8. Serve the Bolognese sauce over the cooked pasta and top with Parmesan cheese.
