Bc Blueberry Pie
A classic, delicious dessert featuring fresh BC blueberries. This pie is perfect for a summer gathering or just a sweet treat at home.
Ingredients - Serves 8
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Pie crust - 2 sheets
- Unsalted butter - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- All-purpose flour - 3 tablespoons
- Granulated sugar - 1 cup
- Fresh bc blueberries - 4 cups
Let's Get Started
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the blueberries, sugar, flour, and lemon juice. Stir until the blueberries are well coated.
- Place one sheet of pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish. Pour the blueberry mixture into the crust, and dot with pieces of butter.
- Cover with the second pie crust, and trim the edges. Cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Brush the top crust with the beaten egg. This will give your pie a beautiful, golden color.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the blueberry filling is bubbling.
