Jalapeno Cheddar Cornbread

- Jalapeno peppers - 2, seeded and finely chopped
- Cheddar cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Unsalted butter - 1/4 cup, melted
- Egg - 1
- Milk - 1 cup
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Baking powder - 4 teaspoons
- Sugar - 1/4 cup
- All-purpose flour - 1 cup
- Cornmeal - 1 cup

- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan or cast iron skillet well and set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well-combined.
