BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich

Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to make the barbecue sauce.
  3. Place the pork shoulder in a roasting pan and pour the barbecue sauce over it, making sure to coat all sides.
  4. Cover the roasting pan with foil and roast in the oven for 6 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  5. Remove the pork from the oven and let it cool slightly. Shred the pork using two forks.
  6. Place the shredded pork back into the roasting pan with the remaining barbecue sauce and mix well to coat the pork.
  7. Return the pan to the oven, uncovered, and cook for an additional 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  8. Toast the hamburger buns if desired.
  9. Assemble the sandwiches by placing a generous amount of pulled pork on the bottom half of each bun. Top with coleslaw if desired, and cover with the top half of the bun.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
