Banh Trang Tron
Banh Trang Tron is a popular Vietnamese street food snack made with rice paper, various toppings, and a tangy sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Chili sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
- Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Mint leaves - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Vietnamese coriander (rau ram) - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Cucumber - 1/2 cup, julienned
- Green mango - 1/2 cup, julienned
- Roasted peanuts - 1/4 cup, crushed
- Dried shrimp - 1/4 cup
- Rice paper sheets - 10 sheets
Let's Get Started
- Soak the rice paper sheets in warm water for a few seconds until pliable. Drain and cut into thin strips.
- In a large bowl, combine the rice paper strips, dried shrimp, crushed peanuts, julienned green mango, julienned cucumber, chopped Vietnamese coriander, and chopped mint leaves.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, chili sauce, and minced garlic to make the sauce.
- Pour the sauce over the rice paper mixture and toss well to combine.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
