Baked Beans
These homemade baked beans are slow-cooked to perfection with a sweet and savory sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Water - 4 cups
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Mustard - 2 tablespoons
- Ketchup - 1/4 cup
- Brown sugar - 1/4 cup
- Molasses - 1/4 cup
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 medium, diced
- Dried navy beans - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- Rinse the dried navy beans and soak them in water overnight.
- Drain the soaked beans and rinse them again.
- In a large pot, combine the beans, diced onion, minced garlic, molasses, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and water.
