Bacon and Tomato Grilled Cheese
This delicious grilled cheese sandwich is made with crispy bacon, ripe tomatoes, and melted cheese.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Bread - 4 slices
- Cheddar cheese - 4 slices
- Tomato - 1 large, sliced
- Bacon - 6 slices
Let's Get Started
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on a clean surface.
- Layer each slice with 2 slices of cheddar cheese, bacon slices, and tomato slices.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the skillet and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Cut the sandwiches in half and serve warm.
