Bacon and Mushroom Frittata
This delicious frittata is packed with crispy bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and creamy cheese.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Cheddar cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Milk - 1/4 cup
- Eggs - 8
- Onion - 1 small, diced
- Mushrooms - 8 ounces, sliced
- Bacon - 6 slices, cooked and crumbled
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large oven-safe skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and crumble into small pieces.
- In the same skillet, sauté the mushrooms and onion until softened and lightly browned.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the egg mixture into the skillet with the mushrooms and onion. Stir in the crumbled bacon.
- Cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, or until the edges start to set.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the frittata.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is melted and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let the frittata cool for a few minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
- Slice into wedges and serve warm.
