Andhra Fish Curry

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Clean the fish pieces and marinate with salt and turmeric powder. Set aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once they start to splutter, add curry leaves and green chillies.
  3. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
  4. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell goes away.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft.
  6. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt. Mix well.
  7. Add tamarind pulp and 2 cups of water. Bring it to a boil.
  8. Add the marinated fish pieces and cook on a medium flame for about 15 minutes or until the fish is cooked thoroughly.
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.
