- Fresh coriander leaves - For garnish
- Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Salt - To taste
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Curry leaves - 10 leaves
- Green chilies - 2, slit
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1-inch piece, grated
- Tomatoes - 2 medium, pureed
- Onions - 2 medium, finely chopped
- Chicken - 500 grams, bone-in pieces
Let's Get Started
- Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Sauté until golden brown.
- Add the grated ginger, minced garlic, slit green chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté for a minute.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until they turn golden brown.
- Add the tomato puree and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
- Cover the pan and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
