Aloo Gobi
Aloo Gobi is a popular Indian dish made with potatoes and cauliflower cooked in aromatic spices.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Fresh coriander leaves - For garnish
- Salt - To taste
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cauliflower - 1 medium, cut into florets
- Potatoes - 2 medium, cubed
Let's Get Started
- Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the cumin seeds and let them crackle for a few seconds.
- Add the potatoes and cauliflower to the pan and stir well to coat in the oil and cumin seeds.
- Add the turmeric, garam masala, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well to combine.
- Cover the pan and let the vegetables cook on a low heat for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are soft.
- Stir occasionally to prevent the vegetables from sticking to the pan.
- Once the vegetables are cooked, garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve the Aloo Gobi with warm naan bread or rice.
