Ahi Poke Bowl
A traditional Hawaiian dish packed with raw, marinated ahi tuna, rice, and an assortment of fresh vegetables.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Seaweed salad - 1/2 cup
- Edamame - 1/2 cup, shelled
- Cucumber - 1, sliced
- Avocado - 1, sliced
- Cooked white rice - 2 cups
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Ahi tuna - 1 pound, sushi grade
Let's Get Started
- Cut the ahi tuna into small cubes and place in a bowl.
- Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, green onions, and sesame seeds to the bowl and mix well. Let the tuna marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the tuna is marinating, prepare the rice and vegetables.
- Divide the rice between two bowls.
- Top the rice with the marinated tuna, avocado, cucumber, edamame, and seaweed salad.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade ahi poke bowl.
