  1. Heat the cooking oil in a large pot or pan over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the garlic and onion until fragrant and translucent.
  3. Add the chicken pieces and cook until lightly browned.
  4. Pour in the tomato sauce, chicken broth, soy sauce, and fish sauce. Stir to combine.
  5. Add the bay leaves and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Cover the pot and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.

  8. Cover the pot again and continue to simmer for another 10-15 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  9. Adjust the seasoning if needed.
  10. Serve hot with steamed rice.
