Đậu Phụ Sả Ớt
This is a popular Vietnamese dish where tofu is marinated in lemongrass and chili, then pan-fried until golden. It's spicy, aromatic, and satisfying.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Red chili peppers - 2, finely chopped
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Lemongrass - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Firm tofu - 1 block, pressed and cut into cubes
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the lemongrass, garlic, chili peppers, soy sauce, and sugar.
- Add the tofu cubes to the bowl and gently toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the tofu to the pan and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 10 minutes.
- Add the marinade to the pan and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the tofu is well coated and the sauce is heated through.
- Garnish with the chopped green onions before serving.
