Yulmu Naengmyeon
Yulmu Naengmyeon is a refreshing Korean cold noodle dish made with yulmu (Job's tears) powder and served with a tangy broth.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Ice cubes - 1 cup
- Chili pepper - 1, sliced
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Vinegar - 2 tablespoons
- Beef broth - 4 cups
- Boiled egg - 2, sliced
- Asian pear - 1/2, julienned
- Radish - 1/2, julienned
- Cucumber - 1, julienned
- Buckwheat noodles - 200g
- Yulmu (job's tears) powder - 1/2 cup
Let's Get Started
- Cook the buckwheat noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and rinse with cold water.
- In a blender, combine the yulmu powder, beef broth, vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and chili pepper. Blend until smooth.
- In a large bowl, place the cooked noodles and top with the julienned cucumber, radish, Asian pear, and sliced boiled eggs.
- Pour the yulmu broth over the noodles and vegetables.
- Add ice cubes to the bowl to keep the noodles cold.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
