Mulhoe
Mulhoe is a refreshing and spicy Korean soup made with raw fish and a flavorful broth.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Ice cubes - 1 cup
- Water - 4 cups
- Salt - To taste
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fish sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Red chili pepper - 1, thinly sliced
- Green onion - 2 stalks, thinly sliced
- Radish - 1, julienned
- Cucumber - 1, julienned
- Fresh white fish fillets - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the fish, cucumber, radish, green onion, red chili pepper, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and salt. Mix well to combine.
- Add the water and ice cubes to the bowl and stir gently. Let it sit for 10 minutes to chill.
- Serve the mulhoe in individual bowls, garnished with additional green onion and chili pepper slices, if desired.
