Aab E Sekanjabin
Aab-e Sekanjabin is a traditional Iranian syrup made from vinegar and honey. It is often served as a refreshing drink in the summer.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Ice cubes - As needed
- Cucumber - 1, sliced
- Mint - 1 bunch
- White vinegar - 1/2 cup
- Sugar - 2 cups
- Water - 4 cups
Let's Get Started
- In a pot, combine the water and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Reduce the heat to low and add the vinegar. Simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add the mint to the pot and continue to simmer for another 30 minutes.
- Strain the syrup and let it cool.
- To serve, pour some syrup into a glass, add some cucumber slices and ice cubes, then fill the rest of the glass with water. Stir well before drinking.
