Yakitori
Yakitori is a popular Japanese dish made with skewered grilled chicken, marinated in a savory sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Bamboo skewers - 8-10
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Sake - 2 tablespoons
- Mirin - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Chicken thighs - 1 lb, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar to make the marinade.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
