Yakisoba
Yakisoba is a classic Japanese street food made by stir-frying boiled ramen noodles, vegetables, and meat or seafood with a sweet and slightly spicy sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Seaweed powder - For garnish
- Pickled ginger - For garnish
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Yakisoba sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Pork belly - 200 grams, thinly sliced
- Bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
- Carrot - 1, julienned
- Onion - 1, thinly sliced
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Yakisoba noodles - 2 packets
Let's Get Started
- Boil the yakisoba noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large wok or frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the onion, carrot, bell pepper, and pork belly to the pan and stir-fry for about 5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender and the pork is cooked through.
- Add the cooked noodles and yakisoba sauce to the pan and toss everything together until the noodles are well coated in the sauce.
- Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, until everything is heated through.
- Serve the yakisoba hot, garnished with the chopped green onions, pickled ginger, and a sprinkle of seaweed powder.
