Wontons in Chili Oil

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle, and then fold the two corners of the triangle towards each other. Press to seal the edges.
  3. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Cook the wontons in batches for about 5 minutes, or until they float to the surface. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
  4. In a small saucepan, heat the chili oil, rice vinegar, and sugar over low heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  5. Place the cooked wontons in a serving dish and pour the chili oil sauce over them. Toss gently to coat.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped cilantro.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
