Wonton Mee
Wonton Mee is a popular Chinese dish consisting of wontons, noodles, and a flavorful sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Chicken broth - 1 cup
- Oyster sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Bok choy - 2 heads, chopped
- Egg noodles - 200g
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Shrimp - 100g, peeled and deveined
- Ground pork - 200g
- Wonton wrappers - 12 wrappers
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, mix together the ground pork, shrimp, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
- Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Wet the edges with water and fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle. Press the edges to seal.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the wontons for 3-4 minutes, or until they float to the surface. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a separate pan, heat some oil and stir-fry the bok choy until wilted. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, combine the oyster sauce and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer.
- Add the cooked noodles to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Divide the noodles between serving bowls and top with the cooked wontons, bok choy, and chopped green onions.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
