Walnut Shrimp

Walnut Shrimp

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water and sugar. Bring to a boil and add the walnuts. Boil for 2 minutes, then drain and place walnuts on a baking sheet to dry.
  2. Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg whites and cornstarch until frothy. Add the shrimp and toss to coat.
  4. Fry the shrimp in the hot oil until golden and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  5. In a medium bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, condensed milk, honey, and lemon juice. Add the fried shrimp and toss to coat with the sauce.
  6. Serve the shrimp on a platter and sprinkle the candied walnuts on top.
