Ul Boov
Ul Boov is a traditional Korean dish made with marinated beef and vegetables.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Rice - 4 cups, cooked
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Green onions - 4, chopped
- Onions - 1, thinly sliced
- Bell peppers - 2, thinly sliced
- Carrots - 2, julienned
- Brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 1/4 cup
- Beef sirloin - 1 pound, thinly sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and brown sugar. Mix well.
- Add the sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for at least 10 minutes.
- Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the carrots, bell peppers, onions, and green onions. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss everything together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the Ul Boov over cooked rice.
